Later this month, the Social Media Club (SMC) will launch in Tucson, Arizona. Currently, we are seeking Tucson-area volunteers to help us organize and plan meetings. If you’re interested in helping, please connect with us (see contact info below).

Our meeting plans…

  • What: Informal social hour, Twitter 101: volunteers demoing Twitter and related tools in real time. We will have a business card drawing for copies of “Twitter Power: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time” by Joel Comm.
  • When: Thurs, May 21, 2009 from 5:30 to 7 PMSeven Cups Fine Chinese Teas
  • Where: Seven Cups Fine Chinese Tea, 2516 E 6 St (across the street from Rincon Market), Tucson, Arizona 85716
  • How: No speaker scheduled. This is an informal, social hour. Volunteers (you know who you are) will demo Twitter in real time. If you use Twitter, please bring your laptop (there is WiFi), your Blackberry or other handheld and log into your account to tweet in real time. If you are not familiar with Twitter, feel free to ask individuals how to use Twitter, what different individuals are doing on Twitter and look at a few related tools.
